When the visitor of an affiliate site clicks a banner or link, it takes it to the original merchant site and the affiliate sites in retus get a fixed commission for it. Affiliates are paid either on per click, per impression, per lead, or per sale basis. However, pay per lead is most useful among all. Deciding Whether to Offer Your New Gadget as a Product or Service

If you have ever made and designed your own software, you will have likely already leaed the lessons in this article. The same lessons can be applied to the businesses of most Inteet marketers.

The main lesson I leaed was that it does not matter how good your software product is, the quality of the product does not ensure its financial success.

Microsoft of course is an exception for a number of reasons. First off, Microsoft has always sold their product first to the computer retailer. Secondly, they have built the legal war chest to force businesses to pay for their products. They also have the war chest available to promote their products with tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.

My business is not a Microsoft and yours may not be either. So, we do not have the lock on selling our products as a necessity to the middle man, and we do not have the same kind of budget that Microsoft possesses. Even still, we should never ever give up on our hopes and dreams of success.

NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!

I am able to share this message with you from a position of experience.

See, I am a programmer of moderate knowledge. I have undertaken software projects on several levels while searching for that infamous pot-of-gold.

In the early, early days, I wrote three separate software packages for direct resale to the public. The first and second time, I supposed that it just was not the right package to get the attention of the public.

The third time out, I approached the project with the shareware attitude. I sold one copy of the package.

The fourth time out, I gave the software for free, but supported by ad revenue. Selling advertising on an unknown name is tougher than giving away the software. I gave away several hundred copies of the package, but did not sell a single ad lot, so I ended up serving my ads alone.

The fifth time around, I finally got a grip on the challenge. I had developed software for my own use, and thought others might like the package. I was right.

THE HARD, NAKED TRUTH

I could have offered the package for resale, but it was software that could only be used by a very tight niche market. There were only about 500 people who I suspected might be interested in the product as a stand-alone application.

If I sold the package for $100, I might could have made $50,000 on the product alone, but that is optimistic. At $100, I am willing to venture that my takers would have been fewer than 50 strong. So now, my gross eaings on the product may have been $5000.

Realistically, I would reach my largest market base at about $20 per user. If I could have tued that $20 on the 500 users, then my eaings would have been a maximum of $10,000 eaed on the product. Granted, that is not too shabby, but it is far from exceptional. It is definately not on the scale of Microsoft.

THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

I finally realized that if I were to offer my software as a service, then I could resell the service to the same people over and again. By offering the product as a service, I could then insure that I would have a continuous source of income to spur the upgrades that are discovered to be needed down the road.

Over the last three years, I have tweaked and prodded the software to offer more and more value to the service and to increase the ability of my clients to get real value from my product/service.

My service is designed to help writers of free-reprint articles to get their articles delivered to ever-expanding groups of publishers who are looking for great content to reprint.

Since January of 2002, I have managed to triple the number of publishers and webmasters I am able to reach with my client's content. Along the way, I have been able to improve my program to add even more added-value services to my basic package. I could realistically increase the cost of my service by five times, and my clients would still be getting their money's worth from my service. And yet, more added value services are right around the coer.

THE SOFTWARE OF MY FUTURE LABORS

I have finally leaed the lesson of how to sell my software online. With my future software products, some will be offered as a free service so that I can get the additional exposure, and others will be offered as pay services.

I have eaed more money for my service than I had ever hoped to ea as a software product. And the money is continuous which gives me the opportunity to receive additional benefits to my pocket book when I decide to upgrade the software.

My latest individual software package has been put up on my site as a free service so that I may receive the additional exposure.

If you are a webmaster and you are using content written by others to spice up your site's value in the search engines and in the minds of your visitors, then this new software will be of good value to you.

In order to meet the terms of reprint stated by the writer of the content you are using, you must hyperlink all URL's in the article copy. Doing this hyperlinking by hand is a real painful experience, especially if you are using lots and lots of content written by others. By using my newest, most nifty little tool, all you have to do is to put the text copy of the article into the form and click "convert," and the software will hyperlink all URL's in the copy that you are working to prepare for quick and easy placement into your site.

This software is called the "TPW Text-to-Hyperlink Conversion Tool" and it can be found at: http://thephantomwriters.com/link-builder.pl

AN ADDED VALUE

Even though this software is mostly used by the webmasters who take my client's content for reprint on their websites, from my site's article archives, this software is actually an added value to my paying client's as well.

By targeting the software to those who will use my client's content for reprint, my client's are assured that there is no reason why the webmasters would not be able to hyperlink every article that is used from my website. My client's benefit from this tool because their terms of reprint are honored much more frequently than ever before.

IN CONCLUSION

By targeting my software to both sides of the equation, my user base and my client base, I am offering added value services to both groups and providing my potential clients more reason to buy my services.

Perhaps as you look down the road with what you are going to be doing with your website, you will find more ways to extract more income from your own website.

Affiliate Sales Program How To Eliminate High Risk Programs

To make the most of your affiliate sales program or to start a profitable affiliate program (or affiliate business) you must select good and credible affiliate merchants.

A good affiliate merchant must provide the following:

(1) High quality, high-in-demand product(s) or services. Don't recommend products that underdeliver.

(2) Good site that sells effectively (you are not to sell directly from your merchant site, you are to build your own).

(3) Ability for affiliates to link straight to individual products, rather than just to homepage. A big boost to your affiliate sales program.

(4) Affiliate support, this should include; Accurate online accounting, traffic and linking stats, e-mail notification of sale, marketing assistance, educative newsletters, and other affiliate sales program traffic-building and sales-getting tools.

(5) Good affiliate commission at least between 10% to 20% (depending on products)

(6) Free to join, No good affiliate sales program should require sign on fee.

(7) Lifetime commission on future sales of other products to customers that you refer.

(8) Two-tier commission and restriction on number of affiliates, this is important because too much affiliates will make the program to crash.

(9) Monthly commission payment with reasonable minimum. Note: All the points above must not be present but the more they are present, the more your chance of making fast and big profit in your affiliate sales program.

Finally to avoid frustration and disappointment, that a lot of people are facing online today. You must plan your affiliate sales program well ahead before you start.

Preferably go into products/services you are familiar with, probably in the area of your hobby, work experience etc.

Build your own professional site and host it, make it a theme based content site to attract targeted customers through search engine (Free advertisement) and Presell your product.

Introduce other models (apart from affiliate sales program) into your site e.g. Google Adsense, referrer/Finder arrangement, other services etc, to make multiple streams of income.

Best Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Simply putting up affiliate links at your site and waiting for something to happen is not the best affiliate marketing plan. Chances are that it will not work out too well.

The best affiliate marketing plan calls for you to put yourself in the shoes of your prospect. It is best if you can flag down those who have the problem that the affiliate program you are marketing can solve.

The way to flag or pick out prospects from the visitors to your site is to post a prominent message somewhere on your popular pages. The message should lead to an article where you explain in a neutral manner how that problem can be solved. Do not mention the name of your affiliate business, instead you should speak in general terms and then include a link at the bottom of the article to "one such business" that can solve the problem. This link should of course be your affiliate link.

This is an excellent pre-selling technique and one of the best affiliate marketing ideas that you can implement at your site that will always work very well. You can always be sure that a vast majority of the people who read your problem-solving article through will end up visiting your affiliate site and many of them will end up making a purchase.

Always look out for the best in affiliate marketing ideas and it will tend to have an impact on your revenue from your affiliate programs.

Hey Stop Stealing My Affiliate Commissions

Don't get offended, I was not speaking directly to you. I was speaking to the horrible companies who are stealing not only my affiliate commissions, but yours too!

These companies are called "spyware." They specialize in invading a consumer's computer through unethical means and then literally replacing YOUR affiliate ID with their own! It is almost as if you never even existed!

Not only that, they even steal your future affiliate commissions by making sure that all future IDs are automatically replaced with their own. Even more, they can make it so that if the consumer goes to a website, a pop-up for a competing website (with their own affiliate ID) pops up and makes it impossible for you to get a sale.

As you likely agree, this is a major problem and it gets bigger and bigger every day. The more we fight back, the slicker these companies get.

How much are they really stealing?

Would you believe that studies have shown that these companies could be stealing more than 50% of your affiliate commissions! Some studies have shown that it may even be higher, but 50% has been a repeated number in more than a few studies.

That means, as an affiliate marketer, you could potentially be making twice the money you are making now.

How does Spyware work?

Spyware is basically a program that consumers will download onto their computer. They usually get it "along" with another program that they download for free. Spyware companies develop freebies for consumers to download so they can invade their computers.

Then, the software pretty much takes over the consumer's computer. The software can replace affiliate IDs, create new cookies, make pop-ups appear and even steal passwords or other private information.

In other words, spyware companies are also the masters of viral marketing – they spread their disease via freebie information and programs that unsuspecting consumers download.

Who pays the price? You and I.

What is being done to stop it?

In all honesty, not much. It is not because no one cares, but more because the more we try to stop it, the more technical these companies get. As always, human eyes are being required to track down and stop these companies.

Affiliate managers and companies are becoming far more active in monitoring their affiliates to catch spyware. Affiliates are also becoming a bit more vigilant in reporting these companies (although not near enough).

There has been a moving trend towards software products that block these spyware agents. Consumers are slowly becoming more aggressive in trying to stop their computers from being invaded (they are tired of pop-ups).

How you can help in the fight against spyware?

The biggest area we need to work on is by applying pressure to affiliate networks like LinkShare and Commission Junction to be far more active. Although these companies have strictly stated that they will immediately shut down spyware companies, more and more cases always seem to slip through.

You cannot really blame them, since the more affiliate sales, the more money they make. But, if enough genuine affiliates apply pressure, these companies will be forced to be even stricter.

Do not get me wrong, they ARE starting to become a lot more active.

In all honesty, the next thing you can do, short of designing a break-through program to stop this problem, is to be more careful and report more actively. Any time you see an uninvited pop-up on your computer that has an affiliate ID in the link – you can be 98% sure that it is spyware.

Take the time to report it!

Other than that, for now, being educated about spyware is enough – spread the word and make sure more affiliates know.

Affiliates and Customer Service

Affiliates spend a lot of time and money creating a special environment and information for their site visitors. But sometimes things go wrong. A visitor was dissatisfied with a product you sold, or it was damaged in shipping. Someone isn't receiving your mail newsletter. A visitor had a terrible experience with one of your merchant partners. They took your advice and it didn't work for them.

The way you react to problems and complaints will make a big difference in your visitor's loyalty to your site. What can you do? Act swiftly. Be sure you have someone monitoring the customer service and info email boxes several times a day even if you're just beginning and only serving a small number of visitors. Larger companies should continually monitor for problems, and the largest should consider instant messaging for complaints. In almost all cases apologize immediately and take immediate steps to correct the matter. It takes so long to acquire a loyal visitor, and so little time for him to move on if he feels slighted. There are too many perceived alteatives. So replace, repair, rebound or refund fast! Send a follow-up email to see if the situation was resolved to the individual's satisfaction. Depending upon the nature of your site, you may also include a freebie or a discount on a future product.

Superior handling of problem can even work to your advantage. Your site visitor may feel he's leaed more about you, and likes what he sees. You're one step further in solidifying your relationship.

How to Choose a Reliable and Profitable Affiliate Program

There are literally thousands of affiliate programs on the Net. Here are eight important points that every affiliate webmaster should take into account when choosing a reliable and profitable affiliate program. How to choose a reliable and profitable affiliate program

With literally thousands of different online affiliate programs, ranging across hundreds of different categories, it's not difficult to see how one may become discouraged when it comes to choosing the best and most profitable affiliate programs out there. After all, since one is going to be investing a considerable amount of time, money and resources to design, build and promote the site, then one would naturally want to ensure its success by joining and promoting the most reliable and profitable affiliate programs available.

When it comes to choosing a reliable and profitable affiliate program, keep in mind the following points:

(1) How long has the business been operating?

If the business/site has been operating for a considerable amount of time, then it's likely that it is fairly stable and profitable, otherwise it would not be in business. Be careful of sites and affiliate programs that spring up oveight. It is always a good idea to monitor such affiliate programs for a while before joining them, just incase they disappear as fast as they have appeared.

(2) Who else is promoting the affiliate program?

Try to find out who else is promoting the affiliate program. Visit the websites of your competition and see if they are promoting the affiliate program that you are thinking of joining. If you find a super affiliate promoting the affiliate program, then chances are that it is a profitable program to join, otherwise a super affiliate would not be promoting it at all.

(3) How much traffic is the website receiving?

Popular, successful and profitable websites receive a considerable amount of traffic. If the site you are thinking of promoting is not very popular, successful or profitable, then chances are that it will have low traffic and therefore may not be worth promoting. Check the alexa.com traffic rank of the site.

(4) What is the commission structure?

Does the program offer the affiliate webmaster a percentage of the sale, or a fixed amount per sale? Is the commission payment recurring? Is it a one tier or multi tier program? The most profitable programs offer a revenue share income. This means that the affiliate webmaster will receive a percentage of the money which the customer spends. For example, if the affiliate program offers a 50% revenue share commission, and the affiliate webmaster sells a product for $50, then the affiliate webmaster's payment should be $25. Profitable programs also offer recurring payments for the life of the customer's membership. In other words, if the customer continues to pay $50 per month for his/her membership, then the affiliate webmaster who referred that customer should receive $25 per week until the customer cancels his/her membership. Finally, a multi-tiered affiliate program is usually more profitable than a single tiered affiliate program because it enables an affiliate webmaster to generate income from the efforts of another webmaster whom he/she referred to the affiliate program.

(5) Read reviews about it.

Try to find as many reviews about the affiliate program as you can. The affiliate program may look and sound very attractive until you find a string of negative reviews from its former affiliates waing others not to join it for one reason or another.

(6) What is the support department like?

Do the support staff answer queries promptly? Are they fast, friendly and helpful? Test the affiliate program's support staff by asking them a few questions about the program.

(7) Do the statistical reports work?

Be weary of statistical reports that do not update. Find out how often the statistical reports are updated. Test your links by clicking on them yourself and seeing if they register in the statistical report.

(8) Minimum commission payment

Some affiliate programs require an affiliate webmaster to generate a minimum commission amount before receiving payment. This is fair enough since it would not make much sense to send an affiliate webmaster a check for a few cents when it would cost more to write, send and process the check. However, find out what the minimum commission payment is before you join.

There are a number of other things that one can look for when searching for the most reliable and profitable affiliate programs available, however, these are the main and most important points that every affiliate webmaster needs to pay attention to.

Become An Affiliate

Many people who have never tried this before would think that it is hard to make money. However if you become an affiliate you will realize that with hard work and dedication, it is possible to receive an impresseive income over time. If you are not familiar with affiliate programs, this article will help you get started by providing the advice you need.

The first step for anyone to become an affiliate is to find product or service that you would like to market. For example, a stay at home mom might like to market cookbooks. If this is a product that she knows a lot about, then it will be easier for her to promote and market these cookbooks. Using this example, the stay at home mom should first find which cookbook affiliate program is right for her. She can do this by looking at the amount of revenue the affiliates will make as commission selling these cookbooks. It is best to find an affiliate program with at least 50% commission per sale.

Another thing that also must be considered when you want to become a marketing affiliate is the cost of the product or service to the consumer. If the cost is something that you know that you would not pay if someone tried to sell it to you, then it is not less likely others will buy it from you. Your goal is to choose a product you believe in, would stand behind and would be proud to offer your customers.

After you have chosen the product and decided which affiliate program is right for you, it is advised that you setup a web site to showcase your product. If you are not familiar with web design, there are numerous tutorials available online. Many affiliate programs include a web site for affiliates and most provide with a link to a sales letter for your product. You can also have a web site professionally designed for a reasonable price by searching online using the time 'web site design' or 'web developer'.

Finally, I strongly recommend that you take one of the many excellent e-courses and subscribe to a few e-zines available to show you the basics of Affiliate Marketing. Also, there are many good books available on the how-to's of successful online business. Why not get started now?

Affiliates Style Setters and Merchant Agreements

Are you among the cool group in your city (usually in cities)? Are there others like you or who want to be like you? Are you an acknowledged style setter? If so, you're in the position to not only craft a website to communicate with like people, but you stand to effectively monetize your position, without the cloud of crass commercialism that would tu off the members of your group.

Think about it – What did the athletic shoe makers do to make inroads with the inner city kids who shoot hoops, dance and skateboard? They knew they had to immerse themselves into the culture. If you are a style setter, in clothing, footwear, music, etc. you can pull together a site that reaches your group.

Your site will be as different as night and day from, say a site for a business consultant. But you'll both have news, blogs, photos, info, articles. And you both can sell product. You're in the position of becoming an affiliate and offering prime placement to the merchants who produce specific products you and your group considers cool. You know the products. Go on the web and find the contacts and list any vendor you like. Contact them to discuss an affiliate arrangement. It's likely they will have the software in place for the processing aspects of affiliate arrangements, but even if they don't, you are worth the investment on their part.

You are in the position of negotiating better commissions than a less-focused affiliate. You can ask for a special version of a product, in a limited edition. You can even ea money advising them on mini web sites that your group may access on their cell phones. You know the lifestyle, and even if they can research it, they'll always be behind if you aren't there to clue them in on what's coming up tomorrow. With your focused advice and their responsiveness, you both win.

Blogs on Your Affiliate Site

Blogs can help affiliates increase traffic to their website, both by helping to produce better search engine results, and in increasing the retu traffic to a site.

You can raise your search engine results because the keywords that are relevant to your site will be repeated in the context of other synonyms and phrases related to your site's subject. Your site will show up in searches of people who are ready to buy. By including a blog on a site, you have an automatic means for updating information and opinions. The entries are dated, so visitors don't wonder how old the information is, something especially important on a fast-changing subject.

Blogs complement content-rich sites, by providing yet another level of information that makes your site more valuable to visitors. Blogs draw people with a specific interest in a subject and the willingness to converse about it. By having them congregate on your site, you are setting up a circle of experts, and the inference is that you are an expert also. Once a site is seen as the expert venue, it is logical that visitors will trust the recommendations and reflections of the bloggers. They will feel more informed and prepared to buy.

Once you see the subjects of interest of bloggers, it will help you in enhancing and structuring your other site content. Based on their input you may decide to do product reviews or comparisons, two important types of content that pre-sell visitors and move them closer to buyers of your merchants' products. You can ask a particularly credible blogger to write an article or opinion piece. Use the blogs as a way to keep your finger on your visitors' pulse, and provide them precisely what they want.

How to Make Money from Affiliate Programs

Some times it pays to work with others. In this article we will discuss how to make money with affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs (also called Referral Programs or Partnership Programs) are essentially commission-based sales schemes. You recommend a site to your users and pick up a percentage of any sales those users generate. You benefit from the commission and the site benefits from sales it wouldn't otherwise have made. If you've ever gone to a website and seen links to Amazon, those were affiliate links.

You can run an affiliate program from a site you've already set up, or create a site specially to promote a product or service. As long as it brings in more cash than you spend on building it and buying traffic, you're laughing.

Affiliate ads work two ways: you can join them to make money, or you can run one to attract users.

Joining an Affiliate Program

As with any marketing venture, you need to be careful in the selection of an affiliate program. The benefit of an affiliate program is that it gives you another way to make money from your users. Instead of selling them a product yourself, you send them to a partner and take a cut.

On the downside though, your affiliate ads will take the place of a different ad that you could have put in that same spot. You have to make sure that each advertising position on your site is bringing in the maximum revenue possible. If you're not getting the most from your site, you're tossing money away.

The key to success is to choose the right program, right from the beginning.

Now, a lot of commercial sites run affiliate programs. That's because they know that they only have to pay a commission if a sale is actually made; it's a proven way to generate revenue without risk. What that means for you is that when it comes to choosing an affiliate program, you're going to have a huge range to choose from. What it all boils down to though is product and price.

While it might be tempting to go for the program that pays the highest commissions, the program won't pay you a penny if your users won't go there or won't buy once they get there. You have to be certain that the service you're promoting is of genuine interest to the kind of users you buy, whether you're buying them from search engines or anywhere else.

Sure, you can work backwards: You find a high-paying affiliate program and create a small site to send users to it, but do you know where to buy users for a program like that? You're going to have to research the field, check out the most popular sites, and negotiate banner campaigns and link exchanges.

That's fine if you want to invest the time and the effort. But it's much easier to find an affiliate program operating in a field you're familiar with, and use that program to ea extra cash.

For example, suppose you had set up a dating site. You might make bit of money selling subscriptions, but you might make even more by joining Match.com's affiliate program and selling them your users. Unless you're planning to be the Inteet's biggest dating site, you're not going to be able to compete directly and beat them, but you can join them—and ea money.

Or rather than sell your users directly to a 'competitor', you can look for services that complement your own. Visitors to your dating site, for example, might be interested in buying flowers, books on relationships or tickets on singles cruises. Instead of selling just one product—membership subscriptions—you'd be selling a whole range of different goods to the same people, and increasing the sources of your income.

Here are some tips to selecting an affiliate program that is lucrative and right for you:

* Don't accept less than 25% commission. You can find affiliate programs with great payment structures and high percentages of the purchase price in just about every field.

* Look for comprehensive statistics pages that list the number of click-throughs, sales and eaings so you can see how you're doing. The information should be broken down by month.

* Look for programs that offer a wide variety of promotional tools to put on your Web page, including text links, banners and graphics.

* Find out how often you will be paid and make sure that the payment schedule meets your expectations. Some programs pay monthly, others quarterly; which is best for you?

* Look for examples of marketing methods that successful affiliates are using to get the best results.

* Make sure that top level support is given. If they can't answer your questions promptly and intelligently, you don't want to work with them.

Affiliate programs offer a viable solution to competing against larger competitors and still make money. As the saying goes, if you can't beat them, joint them!

Extreme Payout Affiliate Business

If you have been looking for or have tried some affiliate programs already, you are going to love this bit of news.

I searched far and wide on the web to find an affiliate program that actually over delivered when it came to product quality and compensation package. Needless to say I was met with more dissapointment than results. So I created my own and tailor made it to deliver on all counts. Here then is the run down:

I first designed a product that had mass appeal and yet had very little existing competition on the web. The product solves a common problem for a huge portion of the people that own digital cameras today.

The problem is that most people have a massive amount of digital photos stored in folders all over their hard drive and have no easy way to organize, display and share them with friends and family.

Most people don't want the leaing curve associated with digital photo album software or the hassle of displaying them online either. If the problem was to be solved, it would have to provide pre-designed albums that could be easily filled with a few mouse clicks. There would have to be a wide range of pre-designed albums based on every theme that photos were commonly taken of.

Such as themes like, birthdays, holidays, special ocassions, school, anniversaries, weddings, sports, fishing, hunting and so on.

The leaing curve would have to be virtually eliminated and the completed albums would then have to be able to be shared freely with friends and family by email so the file sizes would have to be kept to a minimum.

On the other hand, a great product like the one described above was only half of the final solution. Promoting this new product would take a special system if it was to be able to reach such a wide market effectively. So I set out to create an affiliate program that is second to none on the entire web today.

An affiliate program that paid out so well that even an average salesperson could truly benefit by it. One that didn't limit you to trudging the streets every month to keep your income up. One that a good salesperson could actually support a family on. One that was backed with marketing ideas allowing you to create a sub affiliate sales force and one that paid you for recurring payments after only making a one time sale.

I know that this sounds very good and you are likely wanting the actual details by now so here they are. I am proud to say that I have indeed succeeded in creating the product and the affiliate system as described above in the form of a membership site. Members can then choose albums from a wide inventory instead of paying for each album they use.

1) The only people invited to promote this system are active members of the site. There are actually no links to the affiliate system except inside the membership area. It is, however, free to join.

2) The program operates on two tiers as described below:

a) Tier 1 are sales that you directly make and you are awarded a full 30% RECURRING commission for thos sales. That means you make the sale once and then get paid every month there after as long as that person remains a member.

b) Tier 2 allows you to recruit sub affiliates and be awarded a full 10% RECURRING commission on teir sales as well for as long as those members remain active.

If you are having a hard time imagining how profitable this really is, then runn a few number scenarios for yourself and you will be soon clammering to find out where to sign up. To see just how much this program actually over delivers on paying it's affiliates, do a little comparison online with other programs and again you will end up clammering to find out where to sign up.

Free Affiliate Program Strategy A Killer Strategy

Every free affiliate program success story without exception requires a killer strategy. An effective strategy is not that easy to come by, that is why it is important for a business to extensively test ideas all the time because it is out of an idea that a killer strategy emerges.

This is a free affiliate program strategy that does not require an online entrepreneur to have a huge traffic arriving at their site. Meaning that it can be implemented by anybody including affiliates who are just starting out in affiliate marketing.

The free affiliate program strategy calls for you to register to join targeted safelist groups at yahoogroups. Naturally you will need a brand new separate email address because of the volumes of email you will be receiving from other participants which will make it very difficult for you to find any other email if you were to use your usual main email address. The free affiliate program strategy then requires that you concentrate all your efforts on recruiting sub affiliates to your program by sending out relevant ads directing folks to your affiliate site page for recruiting affiliates.

The whole idea behind this free affiliate program strategy is that you will be recruiting a vast army whose every sale you will benefit from. You can further speed up the process by replying to as many of the offers you receive in your email inbox as possible with an email message advertising your affiliate program.

Affiliate Programs Why They Work and Why They Don t

Here it is in Black and White:

Don't make the same mistakes many new marketers do. Don't give up!

I've heard tons of discouraging stories about affiliate programs. And, quite honestly, I was one of them some years ago.

It is a common story. You get into the Inteet, surf a bit, find this website about how you can make money and say: "Baboooom, I can do it too". So you start TRYING to sell marketing products, ebooks and money tree schemes. You try getting a referral that will get a referral that will get 100 referrals promoting a supposed "marketing tactic".

The fact is that 95% of these people don't ever make a single red cent.

Why?

Fact #1 - Because most of these "gold mines" do not work and many of the products are junk.

Fact #2 - Because the market is SO saturated, there is SO much competition it is virtually a pain to peer in. Plus, newbies don't have a chance to compete with the guys that REALLY know Inteet marketing. It makes sense, right?

Fact #3 - With no straight forward "down on the table money" you are not going to get quick quality traffic, no matter what they say.

This is the MAIN reason why most Inteet Marketing newbies get discouraged, and just refuse to continue fighting their way through.

It is SO important to make the right start and to keep in mind that you CAN succeed!

Look. I will never get tired of repeating this over and over. Do not just try promoting marketing products. Find your niche, and explore other markets. There is so much money to be made with it! I personaly try a new niche evrey month or two. Once I have one set up and running I look for another. If one is not working as well as I want it to, I drop it and move on. The ones that seem to really interest people I will stick with and make work. (It takes real commitment and perserverince)

Pets, umbrellas, golf, kitchen, gardening, horror movies, piano lessons, wine, cosmetics...the possibilities are virtually endless. If you do it the right way, you WILL make a consistent stream of incoming money. This is the REAL Inteet Marketing.

Refrain from the advice of fake gurus that have never ever made a buck applying their auto proclaimed "hot secret techniques".

I don't make all my income with my marketing products and services. I'm making decent money form it but, I also started out, and still do niche marketing. In fact I am starting a brand new website for Health and Beauty For Men and Women. It will sell real, heath products just like your local health store. No scams or quick fixes. You know what I'm talking about. We've all seen those ads for pills or a powder for example that claim to help you loose weight and look like a super model in ten days…Yeah, Right!

You could have a Spanish recipe website , a guitar website, a women's product website, a general topic book website, a general discussion forum website...Like I said, I am always planning to explore new markets. With these kinds of sites , I make money promoting other people's stuff (affiliate marketing).

That is, I sell their products and I get a commission. I just need to build a website, provide good content and get the traffic by applying different techniques (I describe exactly what I do in the Marketing Master Course) When you do this correctly, you have a real Money Machine that can work on autopilot.

There is no secrets here…The way I made it in this business was by researching, studying, contacting people, asking questions... testing, testing and testing somemore.

You can look at it this way…I see this as if I were playing an exciting game. Not something to drive me crazy or worry about or walk away from.

Do you want it to be an exciting winning game for you too?

It is really all up to you. You just need to try and avoid mistakes (we all make one every now and again, but lea from it!) and, take it one step at a time and don't get discouraged.

You can do it! I know because I did.

Affiliate Programs 101 Get Affiliate Programs Working for You

Affiliate programs are an excellent way to make money online by referring customers. It is possible to make hundreds of dollars an hour and work only a few hours a day by joining or creating your own affiliate program. Sound tempting? There are many affiliate programs that can help you make a sustainable passive income through a website.

So, what are affiliate programs exactly?

An affiliate program is designed to share revenue between you and a business that sells services or products. The business will reward you with money for sending customers their way. You simply place predesigned links and banners on your website. When a visitor clicks on that link and purchases a product or service, you ea a referral fee. Usually a referral fee comes from a percentage of the total amount sold. That percentage can vary from business to business and product to product. Some affiliate programs will only pay you for a limited amount for time while others will track the sales from your referrals for the entire life of the customer. In some programs you can also ea a percentage of the revenue created from people you signup. Lookout for subaffiliate and two-tier programs.

How do I get started and begin making money?

Let us take you through the process. First, you need to find an affiliate program to join. Commission Junction is a company that allows you to choose affiliate programs in nearly every area that interests you. They also collect all your commissions and compile all your eaings into one paycheck, so that you receive only one check instead of a series of small checks that can take time to get paid out. Be sure to take your time when browsing through the categories and select the ones that would work best for you and your websites topic.

Most programs will give you instructions on how to establish a link to their website. Normally, the web page allows you to produce a HTML code to post on your website. This HTML code will display an image or text on your web page that is directly linked to the businesses website and contains information that will let the business know which click through came from your website.

Is it easy making money with affiliate programs?

Remember there is no easy money. You cannot simply setup a website, display your affiliate links, and expect the money to come rolling in. There are a few things to consider first. You need to decide and plan what kind of website you should have that would allow you to start making money by selling products or services. It is important to create a website that has content, provides a service and has purpose. Never create a website that consists solely of affiliate links. This looks very unprofessional and will not bring in the traffic and customers that you desire.

It is up to you to market your website and lure the visitors to your website and affiliate links. The more visitors you attract, the higher the sales, which equals more money for you! Only hard work and persistence will grant you the keys to success. Its now time to research all of your options, create a website, implement your affiliate links, and start generating money online! Have fun..

Collect Visitors Info First Before Sending Them To Affiliate

Honestly, I'm not a big affiliate fan because in the past I haven't gotten 90% of the money promised either because they disappear before they pay out or they have so many exceptions -- paying out once a quarter, has to be over X dollars first, etc. Another negative side is that some of them think that 10% commission or some low amount is worth the 20 hours it takes for us to sell it. Usually the 10% equal $10 and $10 isn't worth my reputation even $1000 actually.

Today's article is not about the pros and cons of being an affiliate member. There are some good affiliate programs out there where you will get a check, their exceptions are small or nil, and the commission reasonable for the amount of time, risk, and reputation you place on the line for their product or program.

This article focuses on collecting their information before you give them the affiliate link so you can increase your mailing list numbers or residual income.

Almost all affiliate referrals are handled by providing someone with the affiliate link. The reader then goes from your place to their place. If this is what you have been doing, take the "L" (for loser) off your forehead, and read this to "get SMART quick."

Stop LOOSING a valuable marketing opportunity -- and stop it now!

Instead, set up a bridge page (also called a portal page or doorway page). Use the terms bridge and portal instead since the word doorway has a separate search engine meaning that can be confusing.

A bridge page works simply like this. You set up a bridge page on your web site. You send them to this page instead of to the affiliate site, collect their information, and THEN send them to the affiliate site.

The objective is to offer them something for fr*e*e that they must register for on that bridge page so you collect their information. In fact, you can offer several things.

You set up two pages actually. One that is the bridge page and the other a thank you page. After you collect their information THEN you send them to the thank you page. On the thank you page, you thank them for whatever it is they did and then give them an option to NOW access the affiliate site.

Here are a few ideas on items you can offer on the bridge page to collect their information:

* To subscribe to your ezine. If you have more than one, list these all. * To register for an ecourse. * To receive an ebook. * Offer your opinion or testimonials on using the affiliate's product/program.

Now, one of the main things most people do not think about is offering them something to purchase. And this is something affiliate offerers lookout for when you sign up to be an affiliate (at least the good ones do). They don't want their competition becoming an affiliate and then snatching the customer on the way to their site. I am chuckling on this one -- I think it is great actually. Most affiliates don't even know this is happening to them.

Here is a duzie of a hint that I've only seen one affiliate program do. This will give you a head start and it's kind of sneaky too.

You can offer something at a price on the bridge page that has to do with that topic (you have a focused buyer here). Example: The affiliate item is a software product. You can write an ebook on the same topic. Yes, will this piss off some affiliates. You bet, but guess what -- that's business. And also guess what -- it's going to take them a while to figure it out what you are doing too. They are so busy trying to obtain more affiliates they don't have the time to research each one.

Offering something for a price isn't as effective as something for fr*e*e. Then again, you have to decide what is your call to action for the bridge page. Is it to collect name and increase your mailing list or to make residual income. Don't get greedy and offer both. It will bite you in the "assets". Too many choices and it confuses the visitor and so they don't make any decision at all and leave without choosing anything -- no freebie, no affiliate link.

When you set up your doorway page, set up the metatags and searchable keywords that you wouldn't otherwise be able to place on your site. Make sure that these same words are in the content.

How to Become a Poker Super Affiliate Tips and Strategy

There are many things that you'll need to do to become an online poker super affiliate. I'm going to share a few things with you in this article that I hope will assist you in building your online poker empire. I'm going to go over the importance of building your network of poker websites, how to pre-sell poker rooms to generate new player sign ups, and how to grow opt-in email lists that you can promote to time and time again.

1. Building a Network of Poker Websites- I see many poker affiliates who make the mistake of building a single website, and then focusing all of their time and energy on that one site. In my opinion, this is a very big mistake.

Would a successful stock market investor dare to place 100% of their assets in a single equity? Most certainly not.

The same should be true with your poker affiliate business. Concentrate on developing a large network of quality sites that you can use to cross-promote with and you'll end up with a much more stable business that will pay you with more consistent profits, month in and month out.

2. Pre-Selling Online Poker Rooms - This is another mistake that I see many poker affiliates making. Simply placing a banner ad on your website is not the way to make a killing in this business, yet 99% of the sites on the net that I see are doing just that.

Set yourself apart. Be different. Write reviews, give honest opinions of poker rooms, inject your personality into your writing, use text links instead of banners. Try applying these techniques to your efforts and I'm certain you'll agree that the results will speak for themselves.

3. Build Opt-in Email Lists of Poker Players - This is probably one of the most powerful techniques in the world of online poker promotion, yet most poker affiliates never quite grasp the importance of it.

Come up with a free offer geared towards poker players, make them opt-in to your poker newsletter in order to receive it, and email them often with new bonus codes and other poker promotions. Imagine the power of having 10,000 active poker players on your email list when a hot, new poker room launches.... In 3 short minutes, you can craft a concise email promoting the new room and offer them an exclusive bonus code for signing up. I'm sure that I don't need to tell you how much income this could potentially create...

Hopefully this article has give you some food for thought on ways that you can jumpstart your poker affiliate marketing business. The most important thing to remember is once you have a solid game plan, stick to it and work at it every single day. Don't quit!

Affiliate Progams Are Great But Beware Of The Fine Points

So you are looking around for extra revenue and figure, "Hey, being an affiliate sounds great. Let me try and get a few extra bucks from selling legitimate stuff on the web!"

Great idea, and you go on your happy way applying to some of the affiliate programs and affiliate farms out there. So here are some really important pointers for those who think affiliate programs are a piece of cake. Don't expect to make money. If you do, then great. If you don't then just don't think the whole world fell on your shoulders.

1. Not Every Affiliate Program is the same.
2. Not Every Affiliate Program is the same. AND
3. Not Every Affiliate Program is the same.

Affiliates work by giving you special code to put on your HTML in your web site. This code is either HTML or Javascript code. Google for instance works with Javascript and calls their program Adwords. Most others work with HTML, including Amazon and Baes & Noble.

But here are some of the really sticky points you must know.

1. Never mess, touch or change affiliate code unless you are 100% sure you know what you are doing. For instance: Most affiliate code does not really care that when your users click on the banner or text they will navigate away from your site to their site. You obviously don't want that. So you want to add into their code the "target=_blank" or "target=_new" code which belongs in href statement. If all that is Greek to you...then another article of mine will deal with it. But if it is Greek just don't touch their code!

2. What does this affiliate code do? Typically, it shows the banner or text, and adds a link code after that. For instance:

That is a short version by the way. What happens is when the user clicks on the banner, they are redirected to the web site, and the affiliate is SUPPOSED to be able to pick up that click with that special code. Thus the affiliate can tell you how many clicks were made on a specific banner.

Guess What? NEVER TRUST the affiliate unless you have been working with them. Some affilliates are great and their code works fine. Others will pick up all your banner impressions, (the times the banner is served out on your site) but the ability to pick up those clicks of your users is severly impaired.

So why should you care? Well, if they are not picking up the click correctly, they are not going to pick up the sale either and credit it to your account. In that case you could have 100 people spending loads of money on your web site and you won't get one dime from it. The Big Players are all safe. Google, Amazon, B&N etc. All tested.

Other affiliates you have to test and test again, until you are 100% sure that they are picking up every click on every banner you put on your web site. Do not expect to see your results in real time either. Some affiliates take an hour or 24 hours or even 48 hours to report correct click stats. That is fine. But if a couple of days go by and you are not seeing your test results show up in your affiliate statistics page, then something is wrong. Write them, call them, get an answer. If all you get is "stats are working fine, thank you for your letter" then drop the affiliate or affiliate farm as fast as you can.

If you are using an affiliate farm, the nasty thing to do is to contact one of their customers, and tell them you really wanted to sell their products at your web site, but in testing you found that your clicks were not getting picked up and they should look into it. If you are sure of the fact, then search for another web site on the net using the same affiliate farm, and write their webmaster as well.

Trust me, they will look into that in a blink of an eye. No company wants to deal with an affiliate farm that cannot handle the recording of clicks correctly. Remember, some of these affiliate farms have data collection routines that are really problematic or just don't work right. So be careful.

You do not want all your hard work to go to the garbage, in placing the banners and the correct code in just the right place on your web site, and then have people click on the banners and purchase something - only to find out you are not credited with the sale because the affiliate farm is not picking up the clicks correctly. And there is almost no way to prove the click came from you unless you do some serious weblog mining or have an offical notarized letter from the purchaser.

Be Careful. Pick Affiliates and Affiliate Farms that are known and if the affiliate farm is known look at who their customer base is. Who will you be selling the product for? Remember, if a customer has a bad experience with your affiliate, they will not buy from the affiliate again, but neither will they click on your banners again!

In another article I will deal with affiliate code more closely, and also some pointers in how to get the affiliate farm to work for you.

How to Make 5 000 per Month Online Using Only Email

Have you ever thought about a specific amount of money you *think* you need, to feel what it's like to experience success? ...

Go back and read that question again.

Most haven't, but chances are if you have, it's pretty close to $5,000 a month.

I recently ran a survey to a handful of my best customers, asking them how much money they'd have to make to call themselves successful in their online business...

Out of 113 surveyed, 42 responded with at or around $5,000 a month. 18 of the 42 specifically mentioned passive, or residual income in the amount of $5,000 per month.

Thirty-seven percent of those surveyed wanted $5,000 per month, while fifteen percent wanted it in residual income.

As you continue to read this article, you will lea about a rock solid, tried, tested and approved nine-step strategy for easily acquiring $5,000 per month online using only email...

1. Find an affiliate program that pays instantly, or at least twice a month.

2. Join the affiliate program and calculate your Dollar Value Commission divided by 5,000. This will give you the total number of sales you need to convert from your affiliate link each month. [Example: 5,000 / $33.50 = 150 sales per month]

3. Take your number of sales per month, and divide by four. This gives you the number of sales needed per week. [Example: 150 / 4 = 38 sales per week]

4. Take your sales per week and divide by seven. You now have the number of sales needed per day... [Example: 38 / 7 = 6 sales per day]

5. Now create your Simplified Target Statement:

Example:

"In order to acquire $5,000 per month, I am attracting 6 sales per day, 7 days per week -- this or something better!"

6. Print out this statement, take a red pen and circle it. Trace the circle a few times with the pen to "cement" the the idea firmly in your mind.

7. Tape it to your computer desk, or keep it somewhere near you. Preferably, you want to see it during the moing, afteoon and night if possible.

8. Go to MBPAdvertising and run a solo ad inside a publication. Keep a record of what publications pull sales, and keep buying ads in those ezines until your campaign becomes unprofitable.

9. Buy more ads from different sources. MyWizardAds and DirectoryOfEzines can both provide excellent resources for advertising in online publications.

Within one week of each campaign, find out which publications to keep advertising in, and which ones to drop by calculating the revenue minus advertising cost of each referred sale. For example, if Ezine A ran my ad and it received 34 sales generating $1,139 in commissions, and I paid $149 to run the ad, I made $990.00 in pure profit.

Obviously, I made more than I spent to acquire those customers, so my campaign is considered profitable. This is ALL that matters. If you're making more than you're spending to get customers, you're golden!

People often get caught up and frozen in details that really don't matter anyway.

All that matters is that you make more than you spend to acquire new customers.

Granted, some can afford to lose money on acquiring new customers because they have a well thought out follow up strategy to pick up the profit on the back end.

This may seem basic... and it is. But if you can apply 100% of your focus to a Simplified Target Statement without worrying about the details... you will reach your target and acquire the exact amount of income you're after.

Sure, there are many other things you could do to acquire just six new customers per day, with a commission of $33.50 per sale -- but you don't need it.

Stick to the basics. They're basic, because they are fundamental principles that work.

I can't tell you how long it'll take you to reach your $5,000 per month reward.

But this simple method can make eaing that lifestyle closer than ever before.

Think about it. With a $67 product at 50% commission, you're just six sales per day away from a $5,000 per month experience that'll change your life.

Affiliates Disappointed with Your Merchants

If you aren't generating the commissions you expected from your merchants, do some investigation. First, be realistic . This is not like selling more Girl Scouts than the other kids because your mother works in a big office and brings home the orders to you. To be successful at the affiliate game you have to really work for it, and you need to pay attention to two factors: uniqueness and appropriateness.

If you signed up through affiliate marketplaces with all the affiliate programs that were remotely relevant to your site and that would have you, your results will be related to the number of people who visit your site, and who happen to realize they need or want something at a represented merchant at the moment they're on your site. They can get to the merchant directly or from many, many other sites, and yours happens to be the one this time. In all likelihood they have good products, represented fairly, but dealing with highly exposed sites isn't likely to give you the best conversion per click.

However, if you spend the time to search out specific sites that have private programs, operated on private affiliate management software, you stand a chance to bring new, different and highly focused products and services to your site visitors. Things they won't find everywhere. You'll be doing your niche a service because you've spent the time finding and checking out these sites, and made your visitor's path to them as easy as a click. In addition to eaing you commissions, these merchant relationships will reinforce your visitor's sense that you understand them and have created an environment just for their needs. And that means repeat visits and future sales.

Poker is now being played by people in all age groups, from college age all the way to aging Baby Boomers. And for college age adults, University of Pennsylvania reports that the number of 18- to 22-year-old men in college who play cards for money doubled in the last year, to 12.5% of that population. Online poker in particular is the method of choice for this age group since its fast pace holds their attention better. Getting Your Share of The Sports Betting Industry as an Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is an industry unto itself, with people of all statures and financial backing making profits from the business. The joy of the affiliate program is the simplicity with which it works. There are no customer relations to worry about, expensive start up costs or extensive knowledge required. All that is needed is some web space a little initiative and a desire to ea money. With affiliates eaing money simply by hosting a few advertisements on their site, the potential for custom is immense. There are no limits or boundaries to the eaing potential of an affiliate; therefore all affiliates are masters of their own destinies to a certain extent.

All the major online industries have incorporated an affiliate program in order to develop their product name and encourage new custom. However one of the most successful industries to have benefited from the affiliate program is that of online gaming, or more particularly sports betting. Through the variety of sites dedicated to sports, betting or just general interest, the world of sports betting has been able to immediately capture a huge audience. With the vast majority of the worlds population enjoying the spectacle of sports, the world wide web has embraced this and has in tu created millions of sites dedicated to individual or collective athletes, teams and sports. Many of these have in tu chosen to host advertising, with the most obvious choice being sports betting sites. But even though there are already thousands of sports betting affiliates, the market has by no means come to a grinding halt. Just like the sports betting market that it represents, the affiliate-marketing program is always expanding with new comers able to tap into a huge market and flourish.

Affiliates looking to enter the sports betting market are not only joining one of the largest online industries, but are also looking at one of the most profitable affiliate programs. Sports betting sites routinely offer their affiliates between 20 and 35% of a player's lifetime money generated. This is unlike other industries where only a small up front cash bonus or a percentage of a customer's expenditure for a limited period is given out. If a player you attract bets everyday for 5 years, then for 5 years you, as the affiliate that attracted him or her, will be eaing a steady wage. Of course in the world of sports betting things can go up as well as down. The bookmakers lose money each time a player wins. However this is not true of most affiliate programs, these offer a protection to affiliates meaning that they can never have a minus figure for a site based on monthly payouts. Therefore an affiliate can ea just like a bookmaker eas cash, without ever having to worry about having to pay money out.
